With a background in multimedia art, documentaries, and human rights, Alex McAdams has been creating content focused on arts education, social justice, and oral histories for more than 15 years. She has worked with a wide range of organizations, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Museum, Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Carnegie Corporation of New York, and Communication Workers of America.
Alex has a B.A. in Gender Studies from the University of Vermont and a J.D. with an equality concentration from the City University of New York Law School, and she is deeply committed to issues of social justice. Based in New York City, she’s also a painter and visual artist who believes in the power of art and media to shift cultural and political landscapes.
