While I can certainly relate to that, I have seen how important business skills are. I have learned that art has to be a business, or the artist cannot survive to create.”
“The biggest challenge for me is finding the right places to sell my work. I would specifically like to know how to find and approach galleries, curators, and collectors that would be enthusiastic about my work. And, I’d like to become more knowledgeable about accounting, recordkeeping and contracts, to streamline my efficiency.”
Paula Ensign creates drawings and paintings using a wide variety of media–including graphite, ink, watercolor, and oil–and enjoys working en plein aire. She currently splits her time between teaching art and creating it.
