Newly Unveiled Clark Hulings Archives Serve as a Model for Visual Artists

CHE website screen grab-2On August 31, 2016, the new and expanded Clark Hulings archives was officially unveiled. This comprehensive collection—which covers the work, history, personal experiences, and insights of the renowned American painter—is now publicly accessible through an enhanced website, social media, and related resources. Together, these offerings provide a vibrant example of the subjects and skills CHF covers in our Business Accelerator Program for visual artists, including marketing, provenance, inventory tracking, licensing, client support, and sales.

In a recent interview, Elizabeth Hulings—CHF’s director and the daughter of The Foundation’s namesake—discussed the expanded archives and used them to illustrate some of the business challenges artists face. Speaking about the impressive work her father left behind, she said, “It is now an estate without a living artist, but that doesn’t mean all of its business interests go away. The legacy interests are there, and they need to be pursued.”
